About the Program

Our program provides freedom of choice activities for all children. The rooms are arranged into a variety of learning centres with a wide range of toys, activities, and experiences related to these learning centres. Throughout the day staff provide opportunities for structured activities.

6:30am – 5:30pm

About our Staff

Children who are cared for by quality Early Childhood Educators have beneficial experiences while they are away from their parents/guardians. Our team strives to ensure your child receives this daily.

Qualifications of childcare workers are:

CCA

A Child Care Assistant is a person who has completed 40 hours of an introductory course to Early Childhood Education.

ECE II

An Early Childhood Educator II is a person who has obtained a diploma in child care from a post-secondary institution.

ECE III

Early Childhood Educator III is a person who has obtained a degree in child care from an educational institution.

Our Philosophy

We believe that child rearing is a responsibility to be shared by parents/guardians and the community. All children bring gifts and have the right to be valued, accepted and included. We embrace inclusion and celebrate diversity to foster the well being of every child and help enrich our community. All children are entitled to full participation and support to meet their individual needs, using a strength based, family centered approach where we all learn from each other.

We believe that Early Childhood Educators and parents/guardians need to work closely together to provide the children with optimal experiences in the centre and at home.

We believe that we should provide a safe, nurturing, happy and stimulating environment.

We believe that we should provide programs and activities that will allow and encourage children to grow physically, socially, emotionally, and intellectually.

We believe that a well-balanced nutritional program is essential for children to grow mentally and physically.

We believe it is necessary to encourage children's ability to speak the English language and encourage pride in their own culture to bridge the cultural division and prepare them for school.
